Terms & Conditions

and Privacy Policy

Watts Good Electrical Services (hereinafter referred to as “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides these Terms and Conditions along with the Privacy Policy to outline our policies and the scope of our services. By scheduling or purchasing our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Scope of Services

Watts Good Electrical Services provides residential and commercial electrical services, including but not limited to:

• Repairs, installations, and upgrades of electrical systems.

• Electrical system troubleshooting to diagnose faults, inefficiencies, and safety hazards.

• Evaluations of electrical components for potential code violations and safety risks.

While we strive to identify and inform customers of obvious electrical code violations, our evaluations do not constitute an official municipal inspection required for permits or regulatory approvals. Customers requiring an official electrical inspection for permitting or legal compliance should consult a licensed NJ Electrical Inspector.

We reserve the right to decline service requests that fall outside our expertise or safety protocols.

2. Payment Terms

• Payment is due at the time of service or as specified in your invoice.

• We accept cash, checks, ACH transfers, and most major credit cards, which may be subject to processing fees.

• Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 1.5% per month (18% annually) or the maximum permitted by law, whichever is lower.

• If payment is not received within 30 days, Watts Good Electrical Services reserves the right to file a Construction Lien against the property pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2A:44A-1 et seq.

• The customer shall be responsible for all legal fees, filing costs, and additional expenses incurred in enforcing the lien.

3. Limitation of Liability

While we are committed to providing high-quality and reliable electrical services, Watts Good Electrical Services shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services, except where prohibited by law.

• Delays due to weather, material shortages, utility company actions, or other unforeseen circumstances (force majeure).

• Pre-existing conditions, defects, or damages not caused by our work.

• Work performed by third parties after our service is completed.

Our maximum liability for any claims related to our services shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific service in question. This limitation does not apply to damages resulting from our gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

4.1. Customer Cancellations and Rescheduling

• Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before the appointment.

• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment may be subject to a $125 cancellation fee.

• To cancel or reschedule, call us at 908-948-0206 or use the link provided in your Acuity Scheduling Confirmation email.

4.2. Our Cancellations and Rescheduling

• We may need to cancel or reschedule appointments due to emergency responses, adverse weather conditions, or high-demand periods.

• If we cancel your appointment, we will provide as much notice as possible.

• Customers may choose to reschedule at the next available appointment or receive a $50 credit toward a future service, except where cancellations are due to safety-related emergencies.

4.3. Employment Disclosure and Cancellation Policy

Watts Good Electrical Services is operated as a part-time business by a licensed electrical contractor who is also employed full-time as an On-Site Facilities Technician at Duke Farms in Hillsborough, NJ. Duke Farms is a privately owned and operated estate under the Doris Duke Foundation, spanning 2,400 acres of historic infrastructure and sustainable systems. The estate is open to the public on select days, and we encourage our clients to visit this hidden gem of Somerset County to see firsthand the expertise that informs our work in sustainable homes and electrical infrastructure.

Customer Impact & Notification Policy

• My role at Duke Farms requires 24/7 emergency response for utility-related issues and ongoing maintenance of historic and modern electrical systems.

• Occasionally, emergency maintenance or urgent infrastructure work at Duke Farms may require me to cancel or reschedule an appointment with short notice.

• If a cancellation is necessary due to work-related obligations, we will provide as much advance notice as possible.

• Customers may choose to reschedule at the next available appointment or receive a $50 credit toward a future service.

• This policy applies only to cancellations caused by employment-related conflicts, not weather or other external factors.

At Watts Good Electrical Services, we understand old homes and the care they require. Our expertise in maintaining historic estates translates directly into our approach to residential and commercial electrical services. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we balance these responsibilities.

5. Warranties – That’s Watts Up Craftsmanship Warranty

We stand by the quality of our work. With our one-year That’s Watts Up Craftsmanship Warranty, we guarantee that all installation work directly performed by Watts Good Electrical Services will:

• Be completed in a good and workmanlike manner.

• Be free from defects in quality for one year from the date of service.

This warranty applies only to the specific work we have completed as part of the contracted scope and does not extend to pre-existing systems, components, or materials that we did not install or provide.

5.1. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

• Defects in customer-supplied materials or equipment (such as fixtures, luminaires, or devices). If a customer-supplied product becomes defective within the warranty period, we will assist in sourcing a replacement of comparable quality and value, but we cannot guarantee availability of an identical product. The cost of any replacement shall be borne by the customer.

• Manufacturer defects in materials—these are covered under the manufacturer’s product warranty. Manufacturer warranties shall be furnished at the time of installation.

• Damages due to natural characteristics of materials (such as condensation, expansion, or contraction).

• Damage resulting from improper use, unauthorized modifications, lack of maintenance, or external factors such as:

• Power surges

• Electrical faults

• Environmental conditions

• Other issues beyond our control
